WORDS FROM THE EDITOR
EDITORIAL | Journal of Neuropsychiatry
We are pleased to present our first English edition of the Journal of Neuropsychiatry in Chile in its original digital version. Our magazine has 74 years of uninterrupted existence, and is the transmission arm of the Society of Neurology, Psychiatry and Neurosurgery of Chile. Out Journal is enrolled in Scielo, 0717 and 9227 and is published four times a year. Its Spanish version, vol. 58, continues to be published on our website, www.sonepsyn.cl
In the long history of our magazine, our publication policy has been well defined; This new version will continue to be, in the opinion of a qualified Editorial Committee, free of charge and with universal access. Instructions for authors are listed in the respective guidelines and articles can be submitted through resources on the same website. The topics are Neurology (Editor Dr. Renato Verdugo), Psychiatry (Editor Dr. Paul Vöhringer), Neurosurgery (Editor Dr. David Rojas) and Neuroscience (Editor Dr. Sergio Barroilhet), and are distributed in the different sections of the magazine: editorial , original papers, systematic reviews / meta-analyzes, clinical cases, reviews and letters.
We hope that our journal will be useful to continue disseminating scientific work without biases of interest outside of those that are appropriate to medical knowledge. Similarly, we look forward to bonding with live magazines in the same spirit. In times when interests such as finance, marketing, academic careers, and others have become increasingly relevant in the type and quality of scientific publications, we hope to keep these journals free from these influences.
